Farm Visits

What You'll See

We have a lovely farm in the country where your group can come and relax. Enjoy the quiet sounds of nature. Kids can play in the grassy fields. In the summer, they love to play under the misting pergola, which keeps them cool during their visit to our farm.

Good, old-fashioned fun. After the presentation and tour, bring a picnic basket and have your lunch in the country. Picnic tables are available.

Our presentation is a fun, fast-paced skit where the kids in the audience dress up, wear funny hats, and enjoy learning about butterflies.

Have Props, Will Travel!

Our garden specialists will consult with you to plan the perfect garden for any type of butterfly you would like to attract. We will even prepare the garden for you! Call or email for more details on this new service we've added.

What You'll Learn

You'll learn the body parts of a butterfly, all about the lifecycle, the Monarch migration, differences between moths and butterflies, and what the caterpillars eat.

Best of all, you'll see all of this up close! There are eggs, caterpillars, chrysalis...all in one area for you to see. The butterflies are flying from flower to flower, and are busy laying eggs on the milkweed plants.

Everyone is given a sugar pad to feed the butterflies! This gives you an up close look at all those body parts you just learned about during the presentation.

Groups of 20 0r more are served by appointment only. If you don't have a group that large, visit us on a Family Day (Every Saturday at 10-11 a.m. and 3-4 p.m., Sunday from 2-3 p.m). If you need to come during the week, just call and we'll see if you can join another group.
