Family Days at the Farm

Family Fun Days

If you do not have a group of 20 or more to reserve a private visit to the farm, come and join us on our Family Days!

Saturday Family Days beginning April 17
10-11 a.m. and 3-4 p.m.

We have two showings - from 10 a.m. - 11 a.m. and from 3 p.m. - 4 p.m. every Saturday until the end of the season on October 9.

Sunday Family Days
beginning April 18
2-3 p.m.

We've added an extra family day on Sundays from 2 p.m. - 3 p.m. So, every Sunday starting April 17 through October 3, we will have one showing for families.

No reservations necessary. Show up at least 10 minutes early to get parked and paid for, plus get a front row seat!

During these tours, you will see the presentation and go into the flighthouse to see the lifecycle and feed the butterflies.

There is no need to call and make reservations -- just come on out! If it looks like rain, check our Facebook page for the latest information on closings.

Fun Activities

On some of our family days, we have special groups come out to entertain your family. Last year we partnered with From Art to Zebras, who came out and painted faces and had crafts for everyone to enjoy.

We also partnered with the Harmony Grove Dulcimer Ensemble. They provided beautiful music as our groups played with the butterflies.

Double C Horse Farm also came out and let the kids ride their ponies. This is a great riding stable located on Pleasant Ridge Road in Greensboro.

Check back to see what fun groups we'll partner with this year to make our family days exciting!

We believe in composting and ask that everyone who eats at the farm use our compost garden to put their fruit and vegetable peels and cores. Composting is great for the soil, and also teaches conservation and using all things from the earth in different and wonderful ways.
